Hairbrained

Hairbrained is a global social network and community for craft hairdressers, colorists, salon owners, and educators, with a combined digital following of more than 3 million professionals. The platform includes a content community, an online education marketplace, an annual Video Awards program, and a multi-day festival that brings the industry together in person. We worked with Hairbrained on web development and experience design for a property that sits at the intersection of community, commerce, and education. A stable, scalable platform was the non-negotiable, because the Hairbrained Shop, the education catalog, and the ongoing programming (awards, festival, editorial) all depend on it. The goal was simple: keep the site fast and reliable while the brand keeps growing into the center of craft hairdressing.
